About Bill

Rev. Bill Kirk was elected Assistant Superintendent of the New York District Assemblies of God in May, 2005.

Prior to this position, Bill pastored First Assembly of God, Binghamton, New York.  While at First Assembly, he led the congregation through 8 years of growth and was instrumental in helping the church become debt free.

Following graduation from Valley Forge Christian College, Bill served as Associate Pastor of Grace Assembly of God in Syracuse, New York, before pioneering Cooperstown Assembly of God under Missions Advance New York (M.A.N.Y.) From 1981 to 1988, the Lord gave the increase enabling Cooperstown to purchase a new parsonage, 13 acres of land, and build a new 225 seat sanctuary which was dedicated in May, 1986.

Bill’s burden is to Encourage the Heart and Equip the Hands of every servant of God in the local church.  He has written 56 series, books and training guides to strengthen believers in their faith. He has ministered at the First National School of Church Planting in Springfield, MO, in the New York District M.A.N.Y. Pastors School, and ministers annually in retreats for pastors and church leaders.  Whether pioneering with six people on Sunday morning in Cooperstown or pastoring First Assembly in Binghamton, Pastor Kirk’s burden is to strengthen, motivate and encourage the heart of every laborer in their God given ministry.

Bill has served as General Presbyter for the New York District Assemblies of God since May 1998.  He recently completed the 32 courses from Emerge Ministries under “The Institute Of Pastoral Counseling.”

    Praise God,
I am the guy who came here with the wife just a month in the USA you met during the incorporation of the Assemblies of God church in Bronx.
I saw the picture you took of us and would love you to send me a copy.
    Thank you in anticipation!

I was wondering if Rev Kirk has any audio or video sermons. He is the only person who has ever truly got me excited about going to church. I have always loved the lord Jesus Christ in my heart but have never actually been active in any church except for AOG Binghamton during his job as Sr Pastor there.
I will be very greatfull for any replies.

    Love and God Bless,

    Corey John Kohan

    Dear Pastor Bill,

Thank you for your encouraging and inspirational teaching this past weekend at Bethlehem Assembly of God in Valley Stream, NY. We are currently in the process of starting Women’s Ministry, and your teaching was refreshing, challenging and anointed, “for such a time as this”. Thank you for your obedience and sacrifice.

I WELL REMEMBER REV. KIRK. WHILE AT THE ASSEMBLIES IN BINGHAMTON, NEW YORK. HE WAS A GREAT ENCOURAGEMENT FOR OUR FAMILY WHEN MY SISTER BEV GALUSHA HAD DISCOVERED A TUMOR ON HER BRAIN. HE VISITED AT THE HOSPITAL WHILE SHE HAD TREATMENT, AND HE PRAYED WITH US. ALSO, WHEN MARION GALUSHA WENT HOME TO BE WITH THE LORD, THE FAMILY WAS SO DEVASTATED, SAD, AND IN A STATE OF PAIN…PASTOR KIRK AND PIEDMONT WERE SUCH A HELP. GOD BLESS YOU PASTOR..
PS. BEV SEEMS TO BE DOING PRETTY WELL NOW…

    Reverend Kirk,
I heard you a couple of times and was blessed and instructed when I was home in Binghamton, NY where my mother still lives. Do you have DVD’s or tapes of your sermons available to purchase. I am a Lay Pastor at an United Methodist Church near downtown Dallas where I have served 34 yrs. First Assembly of God in Binghamton helped me get into Rochester Teen Challenge years ago…Thank You.
